1Acceptance of the terms
These terms and conditions govern the use of the website compararhojasdecalculo.com and its online tools. By using the site or any of its tools you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.
These terms are complemented by our Privacy policy and our Cookie policy, which explain how we handle your data and which cookies we use.
2Who we are
The site is operated by Comparar Hojas de Cálculo, based in the Dominican Republic. You can contact us by email at mail@compararhojasdecalculo.com.
3The service
We offer online tools for working with spreadsheets: comparing files, merging them, removing duplicates and empty rows, compressing, repairing, password-protecting and converting between Excel, CSV, ODS, PDF, XLS and XLSX.
- It’s free. We do not charge for using the tools. The site is funded by advertising.
- No sign-up. You don’t need to create an account to use them.
- It may change. We may add, modify, limit or withdraw tools or features at any time, without this creating any obligation for us.
4Permitted use
You may use the tools for personal or professional purposes, as long as you do so lawfully, in good faith and respecting these terms and the rights of others.
You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms. If you are a minor, use the site with the permission and supervision of your parent or guardian.
5What is not allowed
By using the site you agree not to:
- Upload files containing viruses, malicious code or illegal content, or files you do not have the right to use.
- Use robots, scripts or other automated means to submit files in bulk, or use the service in a way that overloads it or puts it at risk.
- Try to get around size or usage limits, access our systems without permission or interfere with their operation or security.
- Copy, resell or offer the tools as your own service, or embed them in other sites without our authorization.
- Use the site to break the law or infringe the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property.
6Your files
- They remain yours. We do not acquire any rights over the files you upload or the results you download.
- Limited permission. You only give us permission to process your files automatically in order to carry out the task you requested.
- Your responsibility. You guarantee that you have the right to use the files you upload and that their content is lawful.
- Deletion. Files processed on our servers are automatically deleted within a maximum of 1 hour. Some tools process files directly in your browser and do not send them to any server.
Always keep a copy of your original files. We are not a storage service: download the results as soon as they are ready.
7Results and accuracy
The tools work automatically and we do our best to make the results correct. Even so:
- Some conversions cannot keep every element of the file (for example macros, charts, conditional formatting or complex formulas). When we detect this, we let you know.
- Repairing damaged files is not always possible and may recover only part of the content.
- Comparisons and duplicate removal depend on the options you choose.
Always check the results before using them, especially if you will use them for important, accounting or legal decisions.
8Availability and limits
We try to keep the site available at all times, but we cannot guarantee it: there may be interruptions due to maintenance, technical failures or causes beyond our control.
To protect the service we may set limits on file size, number of files or usage per person, and temporarily block access in case of abusive use.
9Advertising and links to other sites
To keep the tools free we show ads from Google AdSense and its partners. The ads are selected by Google and their content is the responsibility of each advertiser. You can see how advertising cookies are used in our Cookie policy.
If you click on an ad or a link to another site, you leave our site. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those sites.
10Intellectual property
The site’s design, texts, logos, brand and the code of the tools belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by law. You may not copy or use them without our authorization, except as permitted by law.
Some tools use third-party open-source libraries, which are governed by their own licenses.
11Disclaimer of warranties
The site and the tools are provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about their operation, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
12Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect damages, loss of data, loss of profits or losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools, or from the results obtained with them.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the consumer protection laws that apply to you, or our liability in cases where the law does not allow it to be limited.
13Suspension of access
We may limit, suspend or block access to the site for anyone who breaches these terms or whose use puts the service or other people at risk, without prior notice.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or the law. We will publish the new version on this page with its update date. If you keep using the site after the update, you accept the new terms.
15Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, unless the consumer protection law of your country gives you the right to go to the courts where you live.
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest will remain in force.
